This allows the data center to allocate costs to specific units and use resources more efficiently. Switched PDUs are types of power distribution panels that provide the services of a metered input PDU with control over individual or group outputs. It also allows you to delay the power sequence so that voltage surges do not occur, extending the life of your devices. This pattern is very important in remote deployments because it allows you to restore services by restarting servers.
